About Xavier Rudd
Xavier Rudd is one of Australia’s most iconic voices and is currently best known for his hit Follow The Sun. He is a multi-instrumentalist, surfer and activist. Since the very beginning, Xavier Rudd’s ability to connect with people has been his most powerful gift. With his music, he brings together old fans and new, regardless of culture or country of origin. Several of Rudd’s songs incorporate socially conscious themes, such as spirituality, humanity, environmentalism and the rights of Aboriginal peoples. His ability to connect with people is astounding, and has ultimately led to the formation of his band The United Nations, in 2015, for which he assembled a line-up of musicians from around the world as a one-people musical force. Before launching his solo career in 2000, Rudd drew his inspiration from artists such as Leo Kottke, Ben Harper, Natalie Merchant and fellow multi-instrumentalist David Lindley, as well as Hawaiian and Native American music.
